Thần tượng, ngôi sao Harry Potter – hay cái tên Dan trìu mến dành cho diễn viên Daniel Radcliffe – nay đã trở thành người lớn thực sự, nhưng cũng không có nghĩa là hoàn toàn xa lạ đối với Dan, khi ở tuổi của Dan, trong cuộc sống thường nhật, có thói quen hàng ngày xơi hết 1 bao thuốc lá.

Sao 18 tuổi Dan thích đàn đúm với các sao già hơn như Kevin Spacey và Stephen Fry, những người cùng sở thích nhả khói.

Đạo diễn bộ phim Harry Potter, The Half-Blood Prince, bạn bè, co-star và cả Rubert Grint – trong vai diễn Ron, bạn thân nhất của Harry Potter – khuyên Dan từ bỏ thói quen xấu này nhưng hình như Dan không để ý tới những lời khuyên đó mà coi việc phì phèo với mình là cái gì rất..rất.. C…O…O…L…!

Và người ta đã đặt cho Dan một cái tên mới – Harry Puffer!

“Harry Potter” nhân vật nổi tiếng trong phim cùng tên do Daniel Radcliffe đóng, năm nay lại nhận giải thưởng của Whatonstage.com tại WOS Awards Show hôm 24.02.2008 với diễn xuất trong vở kịch EQUUS, một vở kịch mà cứ 15 phút Daniel lại “thoát y 100%”, thậm trí anh ta đã khỏa thân để quảng cáo cho EQUUS.

Những hình ảnh này đã gây ấn tượng và thu hút không chỉ cho nữ giới mà còn rất hấp dẫn với dân đồng tính. Chính vì vậy mà trong tại buổi nhận giải thưởng WOS, trong khi Daniel đang tiến lên bục chuẩn bị phát biểu cảm tưởng khi nhận giải thì James Corden, một trong những thành viên ban tổ chức, dân đồng tính chính hiệu đã… túm lấy….và… hôn Daniel như say đắm trước toàn thể khán giả và các phóng viên.

Tại diễn đàn Seoul Digital cách đây không lâu, giám đốc điều hành Google – CEO Eric Schmidt – trả lời phóng viên khi được hỏi về định nghĩa Web 3.0, ông ta nói:

Trước khi defining Web 3.0, Eric Schmidt cho rằng “Web 3.0 is marketing term” – vì vậy chúng ta hãy vẫn phải chờ đợi, rất khó có thể dự đoán trước được Web 3.0 là gì. Cũng giống như Web 2.0 cho đến hôm nay mới hình thành rõ ràng được định nghĩa của nó.

Windows Vista xuất hiện trên thị trường chưa đầy 1 năm, Redmonder giới thiệu phiên bản kế tục mang tên “Windows 7″. Version này được nhà phát triển của Microsoft – Eric Traut giới thiệu ở giảng đường trường Đại học University of Illinois vào ngày 13.10.2007.

Redmonder giới thiệu Windows 7 trên Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, tập trung vào chủ đề lõi của bản kế tục này và làm sao giảm nhẹ tối đa dung lượng, chỉ giữ lại những lõi cơ bản của Hệ điều hành và tốn dung lượng ổ đĩa cứng khoảng 25MB, RAM khoảng 40MB để Windows có thể chạy với hệ điều hành này.

Việc lược bỏ lõi này được Redmonder gọi là MinWin và cho rằng việc áp dụng của Minwin không chỉ ở Windows 7 mà còn trên Server system cũng như Tablet PCs và các thiết bị Mobil khác.

Phiên bản Windows 7 dự định ra lò vào năm 2010, nhiều chuyên gia về Windows cho rằng sẽ có nhiều thay đổi về giao diện giống như việc thay đổi giao diện của Microsoft Office 2007.

Ngày hôm nay, mình thấy xuất hiện trên mạng -Thinknext.com – Screenshots và Video đầu tiên của Windows 7, đăng lên mọi người cùng xem bản Windows 7 như thế nào. Version này mang Build 6519.Winmain.071220-1525 và được compiled vào ngày 20.12.2007. Thinknext.com tổng hợp milestone đầu tiên này và nói rằng bản thử có thể xuất hiện vào quý 3, 2008.

Over the weekend I finally managed to play with the build…. but disappointed.

One my primary machine, it asked for my SATA driver (never happened when installing Vista, as my drives were set as IDE in BIOS). After adding the driver from my USB thumb drive it would finally install. It didn’t boot after first restart, however.

On my laptop it installed perfectly, but with no driver support for the video card. After numerous tries I gave up in the end, so Aero is now left in the dark.

Oh well, so there’s nothing to show.

The build is 6.1.6519.

The GUI, as much of you have guessed, is very much like Vista. I don’t know if once the right video card driver is in place whether there will be flashy stuffs to surprise me. The system is very responsive, using barely 480MB of memory after boot.

Gadgets are now integrated into explorer. You can right click on desktop and select “Add Gadget” or “Hide Gadget”. There is a new gadget called “Windows Media Center” that displays now playing information from the WMC. On the same menu, “Display” is added above “Personalization” which gives you direct access to display DPI settings. The page is much more polished than the one in Vista.

The start menu features a pin besides each item. Clicking on it toggles pinning/unpinning the item. Search in explorer is now states where you search within (usually being within the folder, as in Vista). You can now, however, adjust the size of the search box.

XAML fonts, called the “Composite Fonts” are now added to the font folder. Perhaps WPF will be much more prominent in this release. It’s disappointing that I don’t have Aero running, or otherwise there might be some interesting stuffs to see.

A new application is added, dubbed the “XPS Viewer”, no surprises, either.

Then finally, something interesting came up: the feedback tool. The feedback tool lists the “pillars” of Win 7. You can see that Microsoft is aiming to fine tune this release as the case in XP rather than technological advancement as in 2K. highlights include”network aware”, with improved connection tools and detections. It will have the ability to detect which network you’re in and switch your settings and devices accordingly; With Live account, you can carry your IE settings and favorites with you; Gadget data caching; New Calculator, Paint, and Wordpad using WPF; install to desktop in 10 mins with only 1 reboot; instant streaming; better battery mileage, etc. All descriptions are scenario-based, so what will actually turn up is still yet to know.

Oh.. how could I miss this. A new boot screen does show up, finally. A full screen Vista-logon screen like boot screen with a beam scrolling across the whole screen near the bottom. Looks nice but reminds me of Win9x (well since XP we’ve been in the “dark”, so surprised to see such a bright boot screen)!

“You Raise Me Up” (Wikipedia)

is a popular song in the inspirational mold. The music was written by Secret Garden’s Rolf Løvland; the lyrics by Brendan Graham. The song has now been covered more than 125 times.

The song was originally written as an instrumental piece and entitled “Silent Story”. The melody is based on the traditional Irish tune Londonderry Air, which is best known as the usual tune for the 1910 song Danny Boy. Løvland approached Irish novelist and songwriter Brendan Graham to write the lyrics to his melody after reading Graham’s novels. It was originally released on the 2001 Secret Garden album “Once in a Red Moon”, with the vocals sung by Irish singer Brian Kennedy, and sold well in both Ireland and Norway. The song was used for commemorations of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks[citation needed] despite not having been released in America yet. Originally, Brian Kennedy was supposed to follow Secret Garden on their Asian tour in 2002, but fell ill, and could not attend. He was replaced by Norwegian singer Jan Werner Danielsen, who also later recorded the song together with Secret Garden, but it was never released.
